Population control

Only population control can make Indians live like human beings, I do not know why no intellectuals, politicians and NGOs are talking about population of India.

A rational view can tell that population control is one of the important steps India should achieve to develop.

We can add examples from micro to macro levels..

As far as I know, the population control will directly affect

a. Education
Imagine a teacher: student ratio as 1:30 and how easy to implement new education
system.
b. Healthcare
Population: Hospital bed ratio as 1:200, how safe the life will be.
c. Per-capita income
No need for comments.
d. Social justice
This one and caste system are inter-related.
e. Caste system
Definitely, less population will shake the caste system as the per-capita increases.
f. Research and development
The changes in education system and life quality will definitely increase the research and
development activities.
g. Law and order
h. Terrorism
i. Pollution control
j. Overall life quality of people

all the above four need no explanation, as they are obvious.
k. Corruption and bribery
Less population means more media coverage and faster judiciary + more salary, which reduces bribery.

l. Human rights
Human rights are strongly bonded with population; any high population will have more human right violation. Of course, some less populated nations are also violating human rights, but definitely, we can reduce the violations with lesser population.

Since it seems to so so obvious I really wonder why nobody speaks about it. Now a days, definitely the family control advertisements
has reduced much.

Why the hell, no body is speaking and acting?

In India, when we go to

a. Police station
b. Government office like revenue office or RTO office etc
c. Court
d. Government hospitals

we can see real India and we'll loose our confidence in our system.

All the places we can indirectly see the effect of population. Judiciary in India, for example, needs 384 years to complete the current pending cases.

When Indian government or large private bodies start large infrastructure development, the first and foremost problem is encroachment of public.

Why they are encroaching? Population. Why there are no encroachments on west countries, because they are less populated.

Be it highways, railways, Lakes anything.

There is a management theory called '5 whys'? That is asking why the problem occurred and questioning the reason and so on.

If we put the same theory here, we can conclude that, for most of the cases, population is one of the important factors.

Just take Chennai, what is the area of Chennai, what is the water resources capacity? What is the average road width? How many number of motor vehicles, Chennai can handle given the above fact, Just compare the above fact with the Chennai population. I do know people are migrating to Chennai for employment and other reasons and that is another story, but strongly interconnected with population.

We Indians are becoming a burden for westerner’s also. We are coming here and taking there jobs and resources.(Although they are enjoying many advantages).

Problems in India are interconnected, very diversified but population control is the place which when we attack gives most of the expected results.
Let us pray to god! Save India, Indian subcontinent and world from this population menace.

I beg to differ on this. Population control is not a solution. It is EDUCATION that is the solution. Take china for instance, the Chinese impleted the one Child per family rule early 90's, they are already facing the brunt of the impact. The Ageing population of china commonly referred as the Non-Productive work force is on the rise and is expected over take the Working population by 2015. China will age faster than India and it is expected to lose a major chunk of its Jobs to India because of this. Also to enhance the quality of one's life one needs to understand more about life and this i believe can be done only through education. This i do understand is an uphill task in our country. But i am a believer and considering the improvements we have had in our lives in the past decade i believe that one day quality of life be lot more closer to what it is in the West.

Hi umesh,

Thanks for the comment, but pls understand
a. Education to all is possible only with less population.
b.The quality of education is possible only when the teacher:students ratio is small.
c.Yes, when population is reducing, every country has to cross the phase what china is encountering. But after crossing this phase, the quality of life in china would be great, no doubt about this.
